Batist grew up on the Bayou right down the road from his fathers butcher shop. His whole life he helped out in the butcher shop to help support the family business.
He never enjoyed working for free or living in a small town; so at the age of 18 he jumped on Motley Crue’s tour bus and tagged along as a roadie. He saw a major part of the US and some of Europe in his travels with the Crue. He may have left the Bayou and small town life style behind but he never left his voodoo roots behind, keeping up constant practice and study. After a few years he grew tired of the constant travel and decided that he was done.
He then moved to Salt Lake City and opened up his own butcher shop in downtown Salt Lake. After a few years of owning a successful butcher shop he began to grow bored with the lack of excitement. He soon however attended the Salt Lake City Art and Wine Festival where everything changed…
